4.11.2007 - After skating two programs at the show in Dusseldorf, Germany, yesterday Alexei fell to his knees during the third program and had to be dragged off the ice. Reports say it's not the hip that had forced him to abandon in the middle of the show. It remains to be seen if he's able to continue with his participation in the Russian TV show Ice Age.
17.09.2007 - The three shows scheduled to take place in Korea have been canceled due to the ice rink's roof catching fire.
25.08.2007 - Alexei's autobiography "Overcome" previously published in Japan in 2003 will be released in Russia this coming October with added chapters up to 2007.
11.08.2007 - On 5th of July Alexei undergone hip surgery for the second time. This time the joint was replaced with a titanium one. If the recovery goes well reports says he plans to return to elgible skating.
30.04.2007 - Alexei competed in Japan Open. He performed his Gladiator program, and did a triple-lutz triple-toeloop combination, triple-lutz, triple-flip, triple-flip double-toeloop combination, triple-salchow double-toeloop combination, double axel as far as jumps are concerned, which granted him among the highest component marks including highest marks for choreography and interpretation. He finished in 5th place while Team Europe finished in second. Congratulations on the good performance and results!

14.05.2006 - Alexei took time from Symphony on Ice tour to compete in Japan Open. It was his first competition under the new Code of Points and given the fact that due to his hip injury he can only perform three of the required jumps and no Axel he finished on 6th place. His Program Component Scores were among the highest though.
